montageconstruction

Mon Jul 10, 2006, 12:46 AM
the process of making the collage/montage/'image' - reconstructing elements to create a new meaning, or to suggest a meaning all tied up with the idea that these images are references or objects taken from other messages - a language of reconstruction - new contexts. but more often than not meaning is secondary to the act of selecting, cutting, sticking and fitting together - so the 'image' itslef emerges from a dialogue between subconcious and the material or media substance. Any meaning beyond the process of making and the reconstruction of media-objects is not intended by the author, but sometimes he might see some there, in retrospective.

Great stuff! I love the originality! The Picasso-esque renditions are a fresh reprieve from all the anime that's being thrown around. I look forward to seeing more!
